Many organizations deliver programs on the Moraine that support good land stewardship. including conservation authorities, stewardship councils, resource management agencies, environmental and farm organizations and municipalities.

The Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation (ORMF) has worked closely with many stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, scientific-based stewardship strategy. This strategy is guided by a set of conservation priority areas that focus on:

  • Increasing the Moraine's natural land cover
  • Protecting the Moraine's water resources and systems
  • Raising landowner awareness and recognition

One particular partnership initiative on the Moraine that has been very succesful in moving stewardship priorities forward is the Caring for the Moraine Project (CMP). The CMP is a partnership of 30 organizations that offer conservation and stewardship services to private landowners on the Moraine.
