Stewardship
Many organizations deliver programs on the Moraine that support good land stewardship. These include conservation authorities, stewardship councils, resource management agencies, environmental and farm organizations, and municipalities.
The Foundation has worked closely with many stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, scientific-based stewardship strategy that is guided by a set of conservation priority areas that focused on:
- Increasing the Moraine's natural land cover
- Protecting the Moraine's water resources and systems
- Raising landowner awareness and recognition
The Caring for the Moraine Project is a partnership initiative on the Moraine that has been very successful in moving stewardship priorities forward. For more information on this project, please see Living on the Moraine
